This is 'Ze Plan' for consolidating room bookings and admin before the first jam and AGM (election) on Monday, 5 July 2027.

There is a YouTube community where any folk interested in this project can express their opinions and links, suggest ideas and ask questions (be nice ... plenty of time).

Some not-for-profit public liability (insurance) options are below
(yet to be investigated).

Presently (as of Oct '26) the plan is to hire the kitchen (for BYO and club cooked pizza)
on Monday nights (6:30-7:30pm) and overlap that
(7:00-8:00pm) with the adjoining Eucalyptus Hall.

The adjoining kitchen ($9 per hour) has a servery (a hole in the wall) direct to the Eucalyptus Hall.

The Eucalyptus Hall ($32 per hour) is part of three modular subdivisions at the Gungahlin Community Centre.
It has a huge (I mean huge) TV (for displaying chords and lyrics) and access to open doors to a patio for spreading out.
There may be an option for participants to pay to hire the Eucalyptus Hall for an extra hour (8:00-9:00pm) without notice.

I will stand as secretary (and web dude) and double up as treasurer if nobody stands for that role.
Registration (incorporation) with the ACT Government only requires three executive to get the ball rolling.
Candidates for the executive (prior to 5 July 2027) have separate pages (with equally sized columns) where they can express their opinions, links, photos and other lobbying stuff.
Candidates can/will (prior to the actual election on 5 July 2027) express their opinions from the standpoint of different roles but, at the actual AGM, they can only stand for one role.
The election is preferential voting secret ballot (Australian ballot) with the names of candidates for all roles listed on one ballot sheet.

INSURANCE OPTIONS - TO BE INVESTIGATED
The following research and opinions were given by a benevolent body who offered no recommendations and to whom we are very grateful. (David - Secretary)

Aon
HAS PROVIDED A QUOTE OF $649 PER ANNUM.  NO REGISTRATION OF INCORPORATION IS REQUIRED.
Has a dedicated Community & Not-for-Profit insurance program, including public liability, volunteer personal accident and event insurance. Aon says its products are designed around the risks faced by NFP organisations and that its scale enables it to negotiate competitive insurance products. Definitely worth getting a comparative quote.
Aon Community & Not-for-Profit [aondirect.com.au], [ourcommunity.com.au]

Artisan Underwriting
Potentially worth considering, especially through an insurance broker. Artisan offers Associations Liability specifically for membership organisations, charities and not-for-profit associations, and says it can include general liability on most Association Liability risks. It advertises competitive pricing starting in the hundreds, although there isn't a published NFP public-liability price or discount. Importantly, Artisan appears to operate primarily through brokers, rather than as a direct-to-consumer insurer.

SLE Worldwide Australia

AS WITH ANSVAR AND CGU THERE IS AN ARMS LENGTH DEFLECTION TO A BROKER SEARCH SITE
Specialises in sports, leisure and entertainment and offers public and product liability. It says it insures more than 250,000 events and activities annually, so it could be particularly worth investigating if the July 2027 project needs event/project-specific cover rather than annual organisational cover. I can’t see evidence of a specific NFP discount, though.

CGU Insurance
AS WITH ANSVAR AND SLE THERE IS AN ARMS LENGTH DEFLECTION TO A BROKER SEARCH SITE
Offers public liability insurance with $5 million, $10 million or $20 million limits, including cover for third-party injury, property damage and legal defence costs.  However, its current public liability offering appears to be a general business product rather than a specifically discounted NFP scheme. It could still be worth getting a comparative quote, particularly through a broker. CGU Public Liability Insurance  [cgu.com.au]

Ansvar Australia (brokers)
AS WITH CGU AND SLE THERE IS AN ARMS LENGTH DEFLECTION TO A BROKER SEARCH SITE
Specialises in charities and NFP/community organisations, including arts, culture and heritage, but I can't see a published NFP "discount" as such. [ansvar.com.au]

This is where the secretary candidates share their opinion, links and photos for lobbying etc prior to the inaugural jam, AGM and election beginning 6:30pm Monday, 5 July 2027.

Candidates are named with Firstname (or email nickname) + first letter of Surname as represented on the 5 July ballot eg BarryJ[ones] or AldenteF[ettuccini] or MawaniS[ingh] or MaryS[mith] etc

Along with links to social media or sites that candidates list below there is also a YouTube Community where anyone can discuss, debate, suggest and enquire ... be nice.
